Established in 2004, The Julie Fund has grown to be the largest source of funding for ovarian cancer research, donating over $4M. 1. Research Funding, including subsidizing the hiring of the most talented cancer research fellows. 2. Patient/Family Support for non-medical expenses incurred by families of cancer patients. These include transportation, food, day care, temporary housing, and other exceptional expenses that arise during treatment. 3. Education/advocacy - Funding educational programs for patients, caregivers and the general public in order to raise awareness of the symptoms of and treatments for women's cancers.
